Here is a very brief account of my more memorable kayaking trips over the years. I’ll slowly add more media over time.

The Stikine, British Columbia 2017

In 2017 I and 3 buddies completed a descent of the Grand Canyon on the Stikine. One day I’ll write about this.

Arun Gorges, Nepal 2015

We planned to do the first descent of the Baku Khola which flows into the Arun river. The Arun is the Makaul region and is one of the closest rivers to Everest. However, we couldn’t hike over the pass to get there due to snow coverage so we paddled the Arun from the Baku Khola down.

Amazingly, I found the notes I took on the jeep ride back that have been sat on my phone for 5 years! Here they are

Humla Karnali, Nepal 2011

An epic 10 day descent of the incredible Humla Karnali in the West of Nepal

Greenland, 2008

Back in 2008 I went on a white water kayak expedition to Greenland to explore un run rivers. Amazingly you can buy the DVD here but I could also lend you a copy

Siberia & Mongolia 2007

I lead the British University Kayak Expedition to Siberia & Mongolia in 2007. It was called The Four Borders Expedition as we were exploring rivers where the border of Mongolia, Russia, Kazakhstan, and China join. Here is a rather suspect film that Paul made of the trip. Please excuse the narration, subtitles, and my mullet.

Venezuela 2006

My first kayak expedition exploring un-paddled rivers in the jungle near Merida and some time on the Orinoco.

Nepal 2004

The trip that got me addicted
