Feeling like I might be getting closer to actually publicising this blog and doing it more consistency.

We welcome our second son, Louis Milton into the world on 18th Aug. He is just as amazing as his bro.

I’ve just come back from some time off and getting use to the new normal with a family of 4. It’s really really hard. I am on the mend after period of overwhelm.

We’re loving living in Morzine.

The biggest single challenge at the moment to trying to do all the prep & research into getting school to get the train to the alps rather than flying. It’s a goal I will be really proud of if I achieve it.

The second biggest thing with BeVenturesome is properly telling our story without social media. Currently I’ve just stopped posting since April.

Quick summary from the last update:

Omincron whipped out our ski trip booking for the winter 2022

It also thinned out our Summer 2022 booking down to 3 schools (140 kids)

From April it was fully flat our getting ready for the ‘come back season’. I tough but rewarding time.

June & July – We hosted groups in Morzine for the first time in 2 years!

June 30th 2021

We have been in the UK since April launching and delivering BeVenturesome’s UK offering to schools. We’ve been based in Surrey with a few trip to the in-laws in Devon. I have done 3 trips to Snowdonia to get some training in for my Mountain Leader Assessment. Unfortunately the assessment has been cancelled so I’ll have to wait until next time we are back to do this.

Most of my brain space has been taken up delivering the Summer season and I am just now starting to gather thoughts / ideas / projects / plans together for the next phase.

We move back to Morzine (where we now live) in July.

March 2021 update

I am currently rolling with the punches that the start of this decade is throwing at us all whilst settling into a new life living in Morzine.

The main things I am up to

  • Learning french
  • Establishing business here in France
  • Running BeVenturesome UK operations (or not!)
  • Developing BeVenturesome offering for beyond COVID
  • Learning ski touring
  • Grappling with my / BeVenturesome online presence
  • Flicking between other ideas!
